About the Blog

It’s been over 10 years since I started my blog called Fuel for the Journey, aimed at providing content that encourages and inspires my readers in their journey of faith. I’ve always envisioned serving as a virtual gas station for people along their road of life, where they can pull over for a much-needed “pit stop” to re-fill the tank of their heart, mind and soul and keeping moving forward on their journey. I believe it is needed more than ever in these uncertain and confusing times in which we are living.

As God gave Isaiah the ability to offer a “word that sustains the weary” (Isa 50:4), my prayer is that God would enable me to do the same for each person who comes across this blog. I am no prophet, but words do seem to “bubble up” to the surface of my soul from time to time, and this is a space where they can spill over when they come. Whether it is some lesson God is teaching me in my own life as a wife, mom and follower of Jesus “in progress,” some new insight that came from Scripture or a faint gentle Holy Spirit whisper that came to encourage the weary in me, I attempt to get it out, however imperfectly, right here. My prayer is that whoever stumbles upon the words here would indeed be strengthened and sustained in some way, and the tank of their weary soul would be refilled, even just a little bit.

Thank you for stopping by. May you find just the fuel you need to keep going on your journey.
